World Safety Index is an AI-powered travel safety platform that gives you a clear, current picture of how safe any destination really is. We publish live safety scores for 187 countries and more than 800 cities, covering crime, terrorism, political stability, healthcare quality, road safety, natural disaster risk, scam hotspots, nightlife safety and more, alongside the reality behind official government travel advisories.
It is built for anyone who plans trips and wants the full picture before they book: solo travellers, families, digital nomads, and vulnerable groups including LGBTQ+ travellers, solo female travellers, seniors and people travelling while pregnant. Beyond scores, the platform includes more than 80 AI safety tools, from Emergency SOS and Safe Route planning to hotel safety checks and offline survival kits. Organisations use it too, for corporate duty of care, employee travel risk, and a developer API.
World Safety Index is built in public by a solo founder based in Ireland. Every feature, metric and decision is shared openly as the platform grows, with revenue supporting Irish outreach projects. No vanity claims, no fabricated numbers — just honest safety intelligence you can verify.
